Our cattery is unique. It is home to many beautiful award-winning, titled show cats. We breed to the standard and do not indulge in breeding hyper-type cats which are often highly in demand, but lacking in health or have conformational issues.

 

 Our kittens are costly, but nobody else prepares their kittens for real life better than we do. The cattery is owned by an animal trainer who places a lot of importance on socialization and training.

 

Kingsfold kittens and cats are handled daily by people of ages. They are used to loud noises, other pets and noisy toys. They are crate-trained and used to travel by vehicle. We start kittens on harness and leash training in order to prepare them for the possibility of being a show cat, adventure cat, or participating in therapy cat programs.

 

Our Kittens are familiar with all aspects of grooming, from including bathing, tooth-brushing and nail trims. Maine Coon kittens are regularly blow-dried and professionally groomed on a regular basis because regular coat care will be needed throughout their lives.

 

Additionally, we supplement our cats with products from our farm. Kingsfold Cattery owns a small herd of dairy goats for the sole purpose of supplying our cats and kittens with fresh raw milk and colostrum. We also provide eggs, chicken, beef, lamb, goat, and pork, most of which we raise ourselves or source locally. In addition, kittens are fed kibble and canned food to facilitate the switch to whatever food their new family has chosen to feed. Similarly, they are used to a variety of different litter types and textures to ensure that using the litterbox is never a problem.
