Oh my, I never intended to take such a long break from blogging. Hopefully, I will do better in the future, but I have my doubts.
Awards: In 2023, we attended more cat shows than ever before, including the Southeast Regional. Our cats had a phenomenal season. We traveled to six states and added several new Champions, one Triple Grand Champion, and a Quadruple Grand Champion. We even "Granded" a Household Pet! In addition, we received several regional best of breed awards and many regional best of color awards. We are excited to continue showing this season, and have already added some new champions and even an agility title! We are hoping for at least one Regional Winner during the 2024/25 season.
Transport Changes: We've made several revisions to our policies and purchase agreement. These were necessary to provide the best experience possible. In order to comply with USDA regulations, we may no longer use third-party transporters. When a kitten's owner cannot travel to the cattery, we will personally deliver it. Initially this wasn't our preference, but we've come to realize it is the
best thing for our kittens. We are able to oversee and manage all aspects of their care until they are safely in the hands of their new families. In order to make things simple, every kitten will come with complimentary delivery within 200 (outgoing) miles of the cattery OR delivery to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (ATL in Atlanta, Georgia). Additional mileage and/or flight nanny services are available for an additional fee.
Purchase Agreement: Our purchase agreement has undergone a number of revisions this past year. We've continued to stand by our commitment to offering "true ownership" with no strings attached. Once a family has passed our application process, we know they are going to take great care of our cats. We trust those families will continue to provide excellent care for their Kingsfold cat or kitten. The latest version of the sales agreement can be found here.
Breeding Program: We've expanded our breeding program to include Balinese, Oriental Longhair, and Polydactyl Maine Coon Cats. Due to an unexpected setback, our Peterbald program is temporarily on hold. Meanwhile, we are excited for our Oriental Longhair and Balinese program. Both breeds have become quite rare and are in need of preservation.
Discounts: Kittens do best in pairs. We are offering a 20% discount off the total cost for two kittens purchased by the same family within the same week. Delivery for the second kitten (to the same address) will come at no additional cost.
We are retiring several adult Maine Coons. If an adult is purchased with a kitten, we will provide a discount toward the older cat. Delivery discounts for the second cat will vary as transport requirements for adults and kittens differ.
Kittens: Our cats have been busy! We currently have a number of beautiful Maine Coon kittens on offer. I'm impressed with their quality. They seem to be getting better and better. I wish I could keep them all. We have an overwhelming demand for Oriental kittens and have a couple small litters on the ground. We recommend filling out our application so we can notify you when we have kittens ready to reserve. They are typically reserved the moment they become available.
Harness/Leash Training: All kittens over the age of four months are started on harness training! We strongly believe that well-socialized cats enjoy traveling and exploring the world with their families and we are proud to provide each kitten a good start and positive experience as they learn the basics.
